Female-headed households are worse off and income inequality persists. Women are less economically secure to access adequate housing. Women face higher levels of poverty compared to men because there are gender disparities in education, and resources, among other things. Women shoulder the major responsibility of reproductive labor often limiting their participation in the paid labor force. Estimated that women cover 90% of the domestic chores at the household level.
