This document based on urban poor neighbourhoods in Mbabane, Accra, and Dar es Salaam. These were part of the qualitative analysis to have an in-depth picture of the living conditions and priorities of the urban poor in these three cities and a city-by-city overview of existing financing mechanisms in informal settlements, their advantages and shortcomings, and recommendations for improvements.
