IUHF World Congresses

Over more than a century, these gatherings have brought together housing finance experts from the Union's global membership to explore, analyse and debate the key issues facing the sector.

A Century-Long Tradition

Since the inaugural gathering in 1914, IUHF World Congresses have served as a leading forum for the international housing finance community. At the 27th World Congress in 2008, then-IUHF President Renu Karnad described the Congresses as a premier meeting point for the global mortgage industry — a place where members exchange ideas and innovations while sharing their experiences and the challenges they face.
